We're listening to more content at home than ever before. If you're like us, you've got music and podcasts streaming at all hours. But there's one place in the house that's tough to get good sound — the shower. Existing waterproof speakers just don't cut it. So, Ampere company made a speaker that you'll love using in the shower, every day.
Hydropower speaker was designed to never leave you without music in the bathroom. Once installed, Shower Power never needs to be removed. And that's all thanks to Ampere’s proprietary hydropower system. Hydropower system works like a water wheel in a dam. Before the flow from your shower reaches the showerhead, it rotates an internal impeller, which is connected to a mini-generator that charges a battery. The moment water starts to flow, Shower Power starts to charge.
It’s a hydropower shower speaker that delivers 360-degree immersive sound. It’s specially designed to fit any showerhead, its revolutionary patent-pendingdesign uses water flow from your shower to power it up. Basically it is always charged and always there, you can sync your Bluetooth-enabled device to listen to just about anything while in the shower.
As well as using renewable energy to power it, Shower Power is also made with 100% recycled ocean plastic. And in 2020, the company made it our mission to eliminate single-use plastic from our packaging too. The end goal is to make more sustainable tech products throughout the product development process — from idea through mass production.
The Ampere company kept this goal in mind when we designed Shower Power. So, it was important for us to select our materials thoughtfully and carefully. They worked with RTP to develop a plastic compound that was made from 100% recycled ocean plastic, which uses 15 recycled bottles in every speaker. Not only that, but it had to be engineered to work in the shower — so it’s super durable and also 99.9% antimicrobial.
Shower Power has been designed to fit on any showerhead (in any country), including fixed, handheld, and rain. So you don't need to worry about a complicated installation. And, once in place, it does not affect shower pressure or water usage.
