Located on the upper reaches of Dau Tieng irrigation reservoir (Tay Ninh Province), about 20 km away from Highway 22, the cluster of plants provides enough electricity for nearly 320,000 households in Vietnam. The project is built on an area of ​​504 hectares, with an investment of 9,100 billion.

 

The area for constructing a cluster of solar power plants is often submerged and semi-submerged, meaning it is submerged in the sea at the end of the rainy season. Previously, this area was used to grow short-term crops.

 

Running 4 km long, following the strip of land overlooking the lake, the concrete pillar forest was erected with a height of 6 - 8 meters. Above the concrete pillar, the solar panels are mounted to the south, to catch solar radiation. Direct current from the battery system is converted into alternating current, raising the voltage to 22 kV, transmitted to the 220 kV substation and connected to the national grid.

 

The battery field was built in nearly a year, by more than 1,000 engineers and workers of the project by Xuan Cau Co., Ltd. and B. Grimm Power Public (Thailand).

 

The appearance of solar power plants is assessed to be more economical. Representatives of the investor said the annual electricity production is equivalent to VND 1,500 billion, an average of VND 3 billion per year on an area of ​​one hectare of land.

 

Besides, The Solar Power Plant groups Dau Tieng 1 and 2 can be considered as a push to develop more local industrial parks, creating significant jobs for local labor. The largest clean energy project in Southeast Asia will attract visitors, connecting to the points of Dau Tieng Lake and Ba Den Mountain, creating an economic and tourism ecosystem.

 

The evaluation, the location of the project is located near the southern load center area, so the power output will be consumed by these loads without having to travel long distances; the transmission area of ​​the project area is not overloaded, thus avoiding the need to reduce capacity. Terrain characteristics allow the plant to achieve high performance. The design is close to the water surface, making the ambient temperature low, minimizing power loss. Besides, the cleaning of the panels greatly reduces costs.

 

The location of the factory is regularly sunny, with a large and stable amount of radiation, with a radiation intensity of 5.1 kWh / m2 per day and an average number of sunshine hours 2,400 hours / year. In order to fully exploit the potential from the wetlands, investors and partners accept large amounts of investment in technical infrastructure and related technologies. The battery system uses polycrystalline silicon photovoltaic technology, the conversion efficiency is over 17%; 70 inverter (floor variable) conversion efficiency over 98%. In addition, the battery and inverter are selected according to 1,500VDC technology to minimize power loss.
