The time to recover after birth is a long tradition in many cultures. At this stage, the mother needs a lot of rest, good nutrition and bonding with the baby.
Kevin Kwee, co-founder of Kai Suites, said: “My wife gave birth four times. And I realized that a woman really needs to take care of her emotional and physical health before, during and after pregnancy. They may face different problems with each birth, such as pain, tiredness or difficulty breastfeeding”.
At the same time, Kevin Kwee also said that it is common for new mothers in Taiwan, South Korea and China to recover at health care centers. After 18 months of market research, Mr. Kwee found that most of them were only clinically concerned rather than focusing on the comfort of the mother, who needed further attention. “I thought I would improve this concept by co-founding Kai Suites. Singapore’s ready for it. I already have local and foreign friends asking to reserve spots, ”Mr. Kwee said.
