In a statement today, Asset Magazine said the Best Bond award was given for leading the issuance of the US$3 billion (US$1=RM4.39) dual-tranche senior unsecured bond for Petronas.

While the Best New Bond was awarded for the issuance of the US$1 billion guaranteed senior unsecured notes for Genting Malaysia.

Citi Malaysia chief executive officer Usman Ahmed said these awards are a testament to its world-class international debt markets franchise and strong client relationships.

“Citi Malaysia is honoured to have once again helped our clients access the international capital markets to meet their strategic funding requirements,” he said.

The group has also won Best Bank, Best Corporate and Institutional Adviser, Best Equity Adviser, Best Equity-linked Adviser and Best Bond Adviser.

In 2021, Citi helped raised over US$200 billion for clients across the region, including over US$30 billion from ESG related transactions.
