Cheras Rehabilitation Hospital began operation on 2nd July 2012 and provides inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. The hospital has 6 wards and 166 beds, it has the capacity to expand further to accommodate 300 beds in the future.

Located on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur, patients and the public can easily get to the hospital for medical examination as well as away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

It is the first medical facility in Southeast Asia that provides comprehensive Rehabilitation Medicine services.

Apart from the green environment, various green technologies are also applied in the design and construction of hospital buildings. This hospital is the first hospital in Malaysia to be built using the “Industrialized Building System” technology which allows construction to be carried out efficiently, while reducing costs and labor.

This hospital is also wheelchair accessible with areas fully accessible by a disable person which include facilities such as public restrooms and Muslim prayer area. With multiple small parks and therapeutic landscape throughout the hospital, the environment of the hospital was designed in such a way to assist recovery and rehabilitation of the patients.

Cheras Rehabilitation Hospital is also the first hospital in the country to take into account the aspects of energy efficiency and sustainable design in the overall development of this project. Most of the interiors of hospital buildings use natural elements as a source of lighting and to cool the building.
