Omni-Theater was founded in 1987, unlike conventional theaters, Omni-Theater is equipped with a powerful digital astronomical system that allows visitors to see through space in 8K resolution and travel through time at the speed of light. The 221-seat theater offers a wide range of digital films and live planetarium shows (conducted by science educators).

It received a theater upgrade with a new seamless screen and digital system using five Christie Mirage 304K projectors and Xpand Active Shutter 3D Glasses in May 2015. The 3D technology in the Omni-Theater surpasses what we get in the standard cinema.

The domed display gives more depth to distant objects, while close objects feel like they’re within reach. Some objects appear to hover in some scenes, and nearby objects may be curved due to the shape of the screen.
