Burapa Eastern Thai Cuisine & Bar by Sri Trat is a Thai restaurant and bar inspired by the luxury of the first-class train seats in Europe from the ’40s. Each floor is decorated in a unique vintage-luxury style that keep you feeling impressed through the night.

Space covers up to 3 floors where the ground floor houses the main dining hall and bar, the 2nd floor for small groups, and the 3rd floor for couples and large groups.

The kitchen serves a variety of northeastern Thai dishes with twists inspired by the eastern region. The two most recommended dishes here are Mok Gai Kai On and Yum Neam Kao Tod with Jellyfish. Mok Gai Kai On (฿250) is made from tender steamed chicken served with red egg yolk. Everything is infused with cardamom and comes with a side of Thai herbs, giving it a distinctive aroma.

Yum Neam Kao Tod with Jellyfish (฿220) is a dish that includes fermented sour pork mixed with spices such as dried chili powder and is topped with crunchy fried rice.

Besides memorable dishes, the cocktail menu here is also very diverse with 12 different drinks inspired by Eastern cuisine, the most prominent of which is Ammarit (“Immortal” in Thai), an amber-coloured cocktail with sparkling edible golden glitter – like a magic potion from Harry Potter.

The food here can be a bit pricey, but the experience of dining in an old fashioned train themed restaurant is definitely worth every penny!
