Located in the bustling district of Bukit Bintang, nestled politely amongst neighbouring skyscrapers is Heli Lounge Bar; an active 36th-floor helipad which also doubles up as a rooftop bar, offering panoramic views of the magnificent Kuala Lumpur skyline.

From Heli Lounge Bar, it is possible to see both the KL Tower and the staggering Petronas Towers, as well as the scenic mountainous landscape far in the distance. Heli Lounge Bar is a typical tourist hotspot, so do not expect to sample local cuisine or culture. It is also very busy most evenings, meaning locating a table or even a chair is a challenge, particularly during the hours before and after sunrise.

The bar opens from 5 pm to 12 pm (some days will open until 2-3 am), but if you want a nice seat when enjoying drinks, you should come about 30 minutes early, since you have to order a drink downstairs before you can go to the terrace, so arriving early and ordering drinks in advance will give you time to prepare to easily take a nice seat. The official opening time is 6 pm.

The helipad itself offers simple tables, chairs and stools for guests, whilst the bar downstairs offers a quirky, aviation themed interior. Both levels strive to create an elegant and exuberant vibe, which is evident through the thematic jazz music which is regularly played.

Drinks here are quite cheap, you can find menu prices on the bar’s Facebook page, and the bar has Touch Down Happy Hour from 5 pm to 9 pm. The entrance fee to this rooftop bar is MYR 100, including 2 drinks.
