Bali’s foremost food festival was founded in 2015 by the not-for-profit organisation, Yayasan Mudra Swari Saraswati. Their aim was to promote the Indonesian culture while creating new pathways to support creative talent. The interesting culinary festival usually has an underlying theme that inspires all of its events.

The Ubud Food Festival takes place over several different venues and restaurants all around Ubud. However, the main hub of this premier event is at Taman Kuliner, on the Raya Sanggingan Road.

The Ubud Food Festival is the perfect opportunity to truly discover the wealth and diversity of Indonesian cuisine. Various activities take place over the three days of the festival, including cooking demonstrations, workshops, food forums, food tours, night markets, music performances and heaps more.

After a 2-year hiatus from its regular format due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Ubud Food Festival has returned this year and will take place from June 23-25. Ubud Food Festival 2022 takes the theme of ‘Heroes’, celebrating those who have made an extraordinary contribution to the culinary scene here in Indonesia and around the world.
