Laykyun Sekkya Buddha statue is located in Khatakan Taung village, near Monywa, Myanmar. The statue has a height of 116 meters and stands on a 13.5-meter throne. The Laykyun Sekkya statue depicts a standing Gautama Buddha next to a recling statue of Gautama Buddha, depicting the scene of Mahaparinirvana (Mahaparinibbana). Currently, this is the tallest statue in Southeast Asia and the third tallest in the world.

2. Great Buddha of Thailand – Thailand

The Great Buddha of Thailand is the tallest statue in Thailand, the second tallest statue in Southeast Asia, and the ninth-tallest in the world. Located in the Wat Muang temple in Ang Thong Province, this statue stands 92 m (300 ft) high, and is 63 m (210 ft) wide.  It is painted gold and made of concrete. The Buddha is in the seated posture called Maravijaya Attitude.

3. Mother of All Asia – Tower of Peace – Philippines

The Mother of All Asia–Tower of Peace is a monument, sculpture and shrine dedicated to the Virgin Mary located inside the five-hectare pilgrimage site called Montemaria in Barangay Pagkilatan, Batangas City, Philippines. It is the world’s tallest statue of the Virgin Mary at 96 m (315 ft).
