1. Library@Esplanade, Singapore

library@esplanade is a public library managed by Singapore’s National Library Board. It is located on the third floor of Esplanade, Theatres on the Bay. The library was officially opened on 12 September 2002, by Khaw Boon Wan, then Senior Minister of State for Transport and Information, Communications and the Arts. library@esplanade is Singapore’s first public library for the performing arts (music, dance, theatre and film). 

2. Raja Tun Uda Library, Malaysia

Perpustakaan Raja Tun Uda, or Raja Tun Uda Library, is a modern, 6-floor library overlooking a park and lake. Besides the great views, the well-equipped library has good facilities including spacious and comfortable workstations, a cafeteria, a popular children’s zone, a 6D motion cinema, a Mac computer zone and a gym.

3. TCDC Resource Center Library, Thailand

TCDC stands for Thailand Creative and Design Center. One of Asia’s largest design and creativity resource centers. Established in 2005, TCDC Resource Center aims to be a place for designers, students, entrepreneurs and enthusiasts in design and creativity to develop and expand their knowledge and skills as well as to help strengthen the capability and competitiveness of Thai designers in a global market place. The library has a minimalist design with quiet study rooms, a designer shop and its own exhibition space.

4. Bank of Thailand Library, Thailand

This riverside library is located on the second and third floor of Bank of Thailand Learning Center offering over 30,000 books and a co-working space. Members also get access to more than 7,000 digital archives from libraries around the globe. 

5. National Library of Indonesia, Indonesia
The 24-floored library building is the tallest national library in the world. The national library was established in 1980 through a decree of the Ministry of Education and Culture and the consolidation of four different libraries. With the collection of more than 4,000 titles, you need more than a day to explore. Worry not, if you find hunger strikes out of the blue while reading, enjoying your favourite books at its café is also permitted.
