Normal medical protective clothing is made of thick material and sealed from head to toe to avoid the risk of infection to the wearer. Therefore, medical staff when wearing protective clothing often have to endure the heat and stuffiness for many hours.

To solve this problem, according to TV channel CGTN, China has just put into use a new type of COVID-19 protective gown that can cool medical staff by blowing air inside.

The innovative SARS-CoV-2 protective suit is fitted with a filtered air supply device to provide medical staff with continuous fresh air while in tight clothing, and at the same time helps keep the internal temperature at about 26 – 29 degrees Celsius without making the functional staff “suffocated” in the extremely harsh summer weather like today.

The new type of medical protective gear can help reduce heat, help sweat evaporate immediately and help keep the clothes inside from getting wet. Chinese media described the new medical protective clothing as a “heat-resistant spirit”.
