Zipster is an all-in-one transport application that brings together public transport (MRT and bus) and mobility offerings such as ride-hailing, shared bicycles and personal mobility devices (PMDs), bus pooling, car sharing and personal accident insurance on a single platform. It integrates door-to-door journey planning, booking and payment services across the various modes of transport.

Commenting on the official launch, Colin Lim, CEO of mobilityX said “It has been an exciting five months since the beta launch of Zipster. We have been encouraged by the high usage of the Zipster beta app and its accompanying Z card for public transport payment. Users have told us that our integrated journey planning, partnerships and e-wallet have helped them make better decisions on their journeys as well as save money. User feedback has also been key in helping us improve our features. This includes the introduction of the Zipster “marketplace” where our partners share promotions that give users discounts.”

The Zipster beta application has been downloaded 16,000 times and used about 150,000 times to date. In addition to public transport (MRT and bus), users can access Singapore’s largest ride-hailing operators, Grab and Gojek, and other mobility sharing services including BlueSG, Anywheel and Neuron as well as insurance provided by AXA. Other mobility operators such as Smove and Share Transport will be added to Zipster soon.
