The building was developed by Ipoh-born Singapore tycoon, Ong Beng Seng, partnering Tan Sri Syed Yusof Tun Syed Nasir and the Sultan of Selangor under Venus Assets Sdn Bhd.

It is currently the tallest hotel in Southeast Asia, the fourth tallest in the world, and the fourth tallest building in Malaysia.

The hotel features an outdoor swimming pool and guests can enjoy meals from 6 different on-site restaurants. Traditional regional Chinese cuisine is served at Yun House, while guests are treated to live cooking of international dishes featured at Curate’s show kitchen.
