The exhibition building stretches expansively, with lush green lawns in the forefront. Painted in an elegant combination of blue and white, it presents a striking sight. The focal point lies at the main entrance, featuring a circular dome often seen in Singapore’s exhibition architecture, accompanied by columns reminiscent of ancient European structures. This fusion of distinctive European design elements, both classical and modern, serves as a highlight for visiting tourists.

This exhibition area is situated right within the former Supreme Court and City Hall buildings from the British colonial era. During the construction project, the then Prime Minister of the island nation remarked that this site would become a source of pride for Singapore.

Within the National Exhibition Building, over 8,000 artifacts from the 19th and 20th centuries are displayed and preserved, including photography, painting, sculpture, and prints. It also features exhibition spaces for numerous foreign artists such as Imelda Cajipe Anday from the Philippines and Fernandao Amordolo and Randen Saleh from Indonesia. Works dedicated to Singaporean art are showcased separately in dedicated rooms. This venue promises to be the host for international exhibitions of the Lion City.

Numerous themed exhibitions showcasing contemporary and modern art forms have taken place here, creating an immensely captivating exhibition space that entices viewers.

Situated amidst Singapore’s bustling shopping district, the exhibition building has become an unmissable destination for many Singaporean tourists. Visitors are inevitably drawn into the exciting and curious spaces featuring various art forms within each themed exhibition area. Located right in the heart of the bustling shopping area of the island nation, visitors can easily reach it by public transportation such as buses, all of which stop nearby, requiring only a few minutes’ walk to reach the building.
