The PT Bogasari Flour Mills in Tanjung Priok, Jakarta opened on November 29, 1971. One year later, on July 10, 1972, the Bogasari Mill officially opened at Tanjung Perak, Surabaya. This is the largest flour mill in Southeast Asia.

With the expanding scale of increasing market demand, Bogasari now has two factories located in Jakarta and Surabaya with a total production capacity of over 4 million tons of flour per year. In 1977, Bogasari also operated wheat-carrying vessels managed by the Bogasari Maritime Division.

 

 

In 1991, Bogasari's business expanded by establishing a pasta factory in the Bogasari factory area in Jakarta, which produces Italian foods such as spaghetti, macaroni, fetucini and other products, sold under the La Fonte brand. In addition to meeting the needs of the domestic community, various pasta products are also exported abroad. Bogasari Flour Mills became a part of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk in 1995.
