The five-year-old startup boasts over 300 online retailers across SingaporeMalaysia and Thailand, including Lazada, Asos, Sephora, iHerb, Agoda and more. It also counts Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer, HSBC, UOB and DBS Bank amongst its 17 big-brand partners.

Shoppers can choose to earn direct cashback, air miles from KrisFlyer miles, Malaysian Airlines’ Enrich Miles, AirAsia BIG Points and Cebu Pacific GetGo points, as well as popular loyalty points like CapitaSTAR$ and Changi Rewards. This is in addition to the credit card rewards that consumers are already earning with every transaction.

Led by founders Paul Koh and Jesper Kauth, RebateMango bridges the gap between disparate loyalty-earning platforms, and shoppers after greater value and convenience. Addressing the industry lack of cashback sites in the region, and the demand from airlines looking to offer their miles for lifestyle transactions other than flights, the pair identified an untapped opportunity while they were working together at Agoda.

RebateMango aggregates product listings from some of the largest local and global retailers online. It then earns a commission from each sale, the value of which is passed back to shoppers in the form of cashback, air miles or loyalty points.

When shoppers visit RebateMango.com, they simply select the reward they prefer, then shop from a store list that covers everything from fashion and beauty, to travel and electronics. Once they complete a transaction, the reward will automatically be credited into their accounts. Shoppers can also earn ‘Mangoes’: extra points to reach Green, Yellow and Gold Mango Statuses that give up to additional 10% cashback, air miles or loyalty points in total for every dollar spent.

However, due to some problems, the company officially closed the application in June 2021.
