Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) is one of three Malaysian power companies that, along with Tenaga Nasional, supply Peninsular Malaysia, and Sabah Electricity, which serves the state of Sabah and Labuan. Sarawak Energy integrates vertical energy utility and energy development with the vision of achieving sustainable development and prosperity for Sarawak. The company’s goal is to meet the region’s need for renewable energy, providing electricity to 3 million Sarawak people in urban and rural areas.

The company has been assigned by the Sarawak government to research and implement green energy activities in the state. In 2020, in the city of Kuching, Sarawak state, the first hydrogen fuel cell buses in Southeast Asia were put into use.

These vehicles can accommodate 30 passengers at a time and are also equipped with 4G LTE WiFi Bus routers for passenger convenience. Vehicles can also be refueled at SEB’s integrated production and refueling station with purity up to 99.9%. Once fully charged, the car can run for a distance of up to 300km.

The vehicles run on 3 routes, including routes from Kuching Waterfront to Damai Beach in Santubong, Jalan Tun Abdul Rahman Yaakub to Medan Niaga Kubah Ria, Jalan Abell, Jalan Padungan, Jalan Sentral Timur, Jalan Tun Haji Openg, Jalan Satok, Jalan Kulas, Jalan Muda Hashim and Jalan Datuk Ajibah Abol.
