Chiva-Som was born in 1993 when Boonchu Rojanastien demolished his beachfront holiday home in the Thai seaside town of Hua Hin to build a sanctuary that more people could enjoy. The resort officially opened on 19th April 1995. 

At the resort all rooms are fitted with air conditioning, a seating area, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a safety deposit box and a private bathroom with a shower, bathrobes and slippers. Rooms are fitted with a kettle, while selected rooms will provide you with a kitchenette with a stovetop. At Chiva-Som – SHA PLUS the rooms are fitted with bed linen and towels.

Chiva-Som – SHA PLUS offers a range of wellness facilities including a sauna and a hot tub. Guests at the resort will be able to enjoy activities in and around Hua Hin, like cycling.

Chiva-Som has been voted the winner of the ‘Top Destination Spa Resort in the World’ category in the Condé Nast Traveler annual Readers’ Choice Awards. In addition, Chiva-Som also won the awards “Best Wellness Retreat Hotel in Thailand” and “Best Wellness Retreat Hotel in Asia” in 2021 of the World Spa Awards.
