The survey is based on the opinions of 6,800 workers in Southeast Asia during the celebration of the International Week of Happiness at Work (September 20-26, 2021). The survey is based on the countries of Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

According to the survey, Indonesia is the country with the highest number of workers who feel “I’m happier than a year ago” (44%), followed by the Philippines (42%) and Vietnam (41%).

In the opposite direction, Thailand is the country with the highest number of workers who feel “I’m less happy than a year ago” (44%), followed by Singapore with only 28%.

The data is representative of all working adults aged 16 and up, and the margin of error at the 95 percent confidence level is +/- 2%. In September 2021, data was gathered.

According to the “Happiness at Work” poll, the following factors influence employees’ overall happiness and unhappiness in Southeast Asia.
