BFI’s manufacturing facility is located at the Sg Liang Industrial Park (SPARK), a project primarily owned by the government. This facility has a production capacity of 1,365,000MT UREA per year, making it one of the largest fertilizer plants in Southeast Asia and the leading in Brunei.

BFI’s main product is granular urea fertilizer. BFI can produce 2,200 tons of ammonia daily, which is converted into 1,365,000 tons of granular urea fertilizer per year. This product is then exported to neighboring regions for the agricultural industry.

BFI has exported more than 550,000MT of urea worth $322 million USD. This is a significant step in utilizing Brunei’s natural gas resources to develop the fertilizer industry and contribute to the national economy.

Looking towards the future, BFI is aiming to expand its operations and enhance its export capabilities. BFI has signed an agreement to enhance the downstream industry, which will contribute to the realization of Brunei Vision 2035. BFI has also appointed MPC to handle export logistics and operations, allowing BFI to deploy larger ships for exports to markets such as India, Australia, the US, and Latin America. This shows that BFI is actively expanding its operations and seeking new opportunities on the international market.
