The Malaysian Automobile Association (MAA) has released ASEAN auto sales figures for 2021 (as of November 2021). The figures are for seven out of ten ASEAN countries, excluding Brunei, Cambodia and Laos, as in the association’s July update last year.

1. Toyota Hilux – sold 176,062 cars

2. Isuzu D-Max – sold 163,137 cars

3. Honda City – sold 88,590 cars

4.  Mitsubishi Xpander – sold 85,296 cars

5. Toyota Vios – sold 85,047 cars

In Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, a total of 2,461,119 automobiles were sold in the first eleven months of 2021, up 15% from the 2,134,038 vehicles delivered in the same period in 2020. Passenger vehicles accounted for 1,563,645 units from January to November 2021, while commercial vehicles accounted for the remaining 897,474 units.

Indonesia sold the most vehicles from January to November 2021, totaling 790,524 (585,901 passenger vehicles and 204,623 commercial vehicles).
