1993: Kinh Do Construction and Food Processing Co., Ltd. was established with a small  manufacturing workshop in Phu Lam, District 6, Ho Chi Minh City with an investment of VND 1.4 billion and about 70 employees.

 

 

In 1993 and 1994, the company increased its legal capital to 14 billion VND, entered the snack production line with Japanese technology worth over 750,000 USD.

In 1999, the Company continued to increase its legal capital to VND 40 billion, along with the establishment of Savico – Kinh Do Trade Center, in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City.

 

 

At the same time, Kinh Do Bakery system – direct sales channel of Kinh Do Company – was born.

In 2000, Kinh Do Company continued to increase its legal capital to 51 billion VND, expanding the factory to nearly 60,000 m2, of which the factory area was 40,000m². To diversify products, the company invested in a production line of Salty Cracker from Europe worth over 2 million USD.

 

 

Besides, a Kinh Do confectionery factory is also built in Ban Yen Nhan town, Hung Yen province, on an area of ​​28,000m², with a total investment of 30 billion VND.

In April 2001, the Company invested in another hard candy production line and a modern Fondant production line with a total value of 2 million USD, a capacity of 40 tons / day, to meet market demand. domestically and internationally.

 

 

 

By June 2001, Kinh Do's total investment capital was up to USD 30 million. The company put into operation a new Cracker production line worth US $ 3 million and a capacity of 1.5 tons / hour. Kinh Do factory in Hung Yen is also put into operation to serve Hanoi and Northern provinces.

In 2001 the company promoted the export to the US, France, Canada, Germany, Taiwan, Singapore, Cambodia, Laos, Japan, Malaysia and Thailand. In 2002, products and production lines of the company were ISO 9002 certified by BVQI and then ISO 9002: 2000. Raising charter capital to VND 150 billion, the company started to join the moon cake market and changed its name to Kinh Do Joint Stock Company.

 

 

On October 1, 2002, Kinh Do Company officially transformed from Kinh Do Construction and Food Processing Co., Ltd. into Kinh Do Joint Stock Company.

Kinh Do now has a network of 150 distributors and over 30,000 retail outlets nationwide. Annual distribution channel growth rate increases from 15% to 20%. In 2003, Kinh Do officially bought Unilever's Wall's Vietnam ice cream company from the United Kingdom and replaced it with Kido's ice cream brand.

Kinh Do Company is currently the leading confectionery manufacturing and processing company in Vietnam market for 7 years continuously voted by consumers as high quality Vietnamese goods. Kinh Do's distribution system spreads across 64 provinces and cities with 150 distributors and nearly 40,000 retail points. Kinh Do's products have been exported to markets in 20 countries around the world such as the US, Europe, Australia, Middle East, Singapore, Taiwan, with export turnover striving to reach 10 million USD in 2003.
