Established in 2013, FRONTIIR is an international company headquartered in Myanmar. It was founded by Dr. Godfrey Tan (also known as Wai Lin Tun), a Myanmar native with a Ph.D. from MIT, along with co-founders Dr. Allen Miu and Minn Thein. FRONTIIR currently operates with a large workforce, with thousands of employees in multiple cities, over 99% of whom are Myanmar natives.

FRONTIIR has introduced the Myanmar Net Internet service since 2015, offering affordable unlimited broadband Internet service with prepaid cards – daily, weekly, and monthly, starting as low as $0.13 USD per day.

As of 2020, FRONTIIR’s Myanmar Net is the largest Internet service provider in Myanmar, serving over 2 million users monthly across seven major cities and expanding rapidly. With its patented WiFi mesh network technology, FRONTIIR has put Yangon and Mandalay on the world map as two of the few cities with city-wide WiFi coverage, allowing citizens to access the Internet in public spaces.

Moreover, FRONTIIR has supported various community-focused development initiatives, improving mobile connectivity and digital services in Myanmar.

FRONTIIR has also created numerous job opportunities, with 99.9% of its 2,400 employees being Myanmar nationals, many of whom send money back to their families in rural areas.
