Mamee’s story began in 1971 when founder Datuk Pang Chin Hin and his partner started a small factory in Melaka that manufactures instant noodles. In 1972, Mamee’s first product was launched: Lucky instant noodles and vermicelli. In 1974, Mr. Pang and his son added a new direction to the company when they launched a memorable crunchy noodle snack called Monster Mamee.

In 1980, the company launched the new Double Decker crunchy snack and launched the Mister Potato line in 1992. In 1996, Nutrigen’s healthy probiotic yogurt line was introduced to the market. In 2012, Mamee Chef instant noodles launched with the help of specially formulated Mi Tarik technology and superior ingredients.

In 2015, after over 40 years of heritage in food and manufacturing, Mamee opens its first concept store, Mamee Jonker House, at the heart of a UNESCO heritage street.

From humble beginnings in a small manufacturing plant, today Mamee has transformed itself into one of the leading snack and beverage companies in Malaysia and abroad.
