The Dyson V15 Detect is a cordless vacuum cleaner that adds lasers to help you see microscopic dust particles that would otherwise be invisible to the naked eye. Laser Dust Detection uses an angled laser within the cleaner head to show dust particles—even microscopic ones as small as 0.3 microns.

In fact, the Dyson V15 Detect brings every speck of dust to your attention, so you can keep your floors cleaner than ever. 

The Dyson V15 Detect not only uses a laser to highlight hidden dust, but it can even count and size the dust particles, displaying this information on the LCD screen so you have visual evidence you’ve thoroughly cleaned your home.

It also includes a sensor that adjusts the motor’s power based on the amount of dust it finds. So it’ll automatically increase the suction power for areas with thicker dust.

Aside from the dust-illuminating laser, is a new acoustic piezo sensor, which (combined with a new microprocessor) monitors the air intake of the vacuum to determine both the size and quantity of the dust being vacuumed up.

That information gets relayed to the built-in LCD. More importantly, it also gets relayed to the main motor, which can increase power and suction if the vacuum detects a lot of large dust particles or debris.
